In a hotly contested final, Dazzle came second in the 2017 Start-up & Innovation in Travel Awards, celebrated at the annual EyeforTravel European event earlier this year.
In a celebration of the latest technologies currently captivating the travel industry, the 2017 Start-up & Innovation in Travel Awards brought together the rising stars in this sector. In short pitches delivered to an esteemed judging panel made up of industry experts, hopefuls outlined the financial potential of their products and services and their future growth capability. The start-ups provided solutions to a wide range of challenges facing the travel elite in areas including pricing, marketing and distribution.
Whittled down from twelve, the two finalists progressed to a pitch battle in front of an audience of over 400 industry investors and travel executives. To a packed room, Charles Cadbury, Co-Founder of Dazzle blew the crowd away with his presentation demonstrating how AI is changing the way hotels and guests communicate.

In a live demo of Dazzle, Cadbury emphasised how the integrated chatbot and voice activated personal assistant delivers next level concierge services to hoteliers. Based on the Alexa platform guests can ask Dazzle questions, on the move, through Facebook Messenger or simply speak to Dazzle once in their room using Amazon Echo devices.
“It was awesome to be speaking to the travel industry’s avant-garde about our vision for the future of hotel and guest communication. We have created a new interface to enhance these important experiences and empower hotels who want to develop highly interactive relationships with their guests."

Dazzle was pipped to the post by What3Words (an app to simplify locational data) but it was clear that such innovative voice powered solutions piqued the interest of industry leaders. Brian Harniman, Managing Director at Brand New Matter, a member of the distinguished judging panel, enthused;
“I am always impressed by technology that takes pain out of the consumer's daily life - Dazzle takes time and annoyance factors out of information requests and scheduling. The fact that it may simplify hotel operations is a bonus.”
Brian Harniman, Managing Director, Brand New Matter
After the initial conception of Dazzle in September 2016, and its release into the market only in May 2017, the team are delighted to have achieved such early recognition as a key innovator in the travel industry.
